What is your favorite chili recipe?
I am making a crock pot full. I used ground turkey..but it is missing something...can't put my finger on it...maybe hearing your recipes I can doctor this up!
(I used onions and green peppers and garlic and seasonings while cooking the g ~ turkey. I have lots of diced tomatoes and every kind of tomato stuff in there as well as kidney beans...I used chili powder and celery salt (Forgot to buy celery) and cayenne pepper.....what else can I put in there to make it delish?)

The chili I make has all the usual seasonings. I also added carrots the last time. What I did differently was make my own homemade turkey sausage. The very flavorful sausage version of the ground turkey make the entire dish tasty. I got the recipe on The Food Network website and it's an Emeril recipe. Just type in turkey sausage and look for it.

There are also different kinds of chili. Some are more tomato based yes but some are also more of a brown base (with tomatoes added to them). I like both. I have never made the brown version but I assume it's using beef stock?

Definitely add cumin, that's what gives chili its "Mexican" flavor.

Here's my somewhat elaborate recipe.
