You know; I realize that there will only be peace when Jesus comes back; but, really, I don;t understand why there has to be continuing arguements here This is a long, long story ; so, I won't go into. It just seems like every time I turn around there is another one. And there are only 3 people here !! I am thankful for these people ; but really, I wish for peace once in a while. pinkroses

I've noticed some arguments come simply from doctrine. Some folks will fight for their doctrine even if it doesn't match the Word of God. We should match our beliefs to the Word, but some folks don't. So if the doctrine doesn't equate God's word, some will lean more toward their doctrine than God's word. It's sad, but it happens. I've seen folks here call other people names b/c those folks follow the Word and not doctrine. It's best to just ignore those who lean toward their doctrine more than the the Word of God. kim

Kim, I don't think she means here on the forums. I think she means at her home. Why else would she say there are only 3 people? Pink Roses, please be clear. Tell us a bit more what the problem is so maybe someone can help you. If I am mistaken, I'm sorry. I also was just taking a guess.

Matt 10:34 "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn "'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law-- 36 a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.' We could all live at peace if it were not for a fact that decisions have to be made for or against Christ. Making these decisions will turn the whole world against itself as it should. Paul says that despite being disappointed that there are divisions within the church he comforts himself with the knowledge that there in fact should be if only to suggest that at least some of us are saved. Now as far as it is possible live at peace with one another, but do not in Chirst say to your self, "I can live with evil." If we love one another, we will look out for our brother or sister and confront them with their sins. They may not like it, but that does not excuse us from loving them enough to do it. Now even Paul confronted Peter, and you could say he should not have for peace sake, but peace must be of God and not men's making for God does not give peace as men do through human effort or nieve tolleration of evil. In Christ there is much worth fighting for and if we knew Him less, we may well live at peace with an evil world. Even if the whole world agreed to disargree there would be no peace for they would still be at war with God in their unbelief. There really cannot be peace for the wicked and even less for those who live with us. If you want to live at peace with all men, do and say everything they would have you say and do. If you cannot do that then the problem is yours not theirs.
