It amazes me the amount of archeologically obtained proofs there are that have dissolved pagan attempts to discount the Scriptures.
Even Christians influenced by our pagan cultures, even here in the US.
Much of the influence of the early to mid 19th century attacks on the Bible have been exposed as wisps of people attempting to get to demythologizing the Bible and Jesus. Of course, many still attempt it today, and many Christians are not informed well enough to refute the obviously biased attacks which mainly have already been disproven.
I'm glad to see this article pointed out at CrossWalk. I will attempt to bring more of this to light here at the forums with information I'm learning during my studies.

The history of all the refuted claims against Christianity that have been proven with the help of archeology is a good study for anyone that is wanting to be mature in their thinking as a Christian.
Biblical Archaeology Review (BAR) has a top ten list of finds that are a good way to do this, if one doesn't want to dig too deeply. The internet is a wonderful tool.
I've never known anyone who was argued into the Kingdom of God with proofs, yet proofs exist. But some things we will never know, even once we are in Heaven. We are not owed any answers, and we will never be omniscient.
