So, friends, what is something that you've always wanted to do but have never seemed to find enough time and/or resources to do it?
For me it would be an epic backpacking trip over parts of the United States. Since about 7th grade I've had this great longing to walk from my home in San Diego and head in a northerly direction; either to Seattle or somewhere in Montana. I don't really know why exactly I've wanted to do this or what I might gain from it if I do.
But have any of you guys ever had a deep longing o do a particular thing? If so, then what?

I was going to say that I've been able to do everything I've ever wanted to do but, now that you mentioned it, I've been up to walking the Appalachian Trail twice and the people I was going to hike with backed out on me. Thank goodness it's no longer a goal (my life is quite exciting enough as it is, thank you) because that time of my life, I suspect, has long gone.

I have many things. Make a full length movie, go skydiving, go bungee jumping, climb Ares Rock, arm wrestle a giraffe, own a small island, walk through a cave....and I can't think of anymore right now, but I know I have so many more.

For about a year now I've been wanting to photograph all 58 of America's National Parks. So far I've been to 1 Park, The Great Smoky Mountains, but that was before I took an interest in photography.

I've also really wanted to go to Egypt. And hold a tarantula. And pet a wild cat.

I have a lot of things; some may be restricted by lack of time and/or resources (or other things), some aren't (they're restricted by things I have no control over).
God bless,
Crushmaster.

yeah, I play the harp and would like to perform in public someday. I use the school harp, I want to get my own.

I have a screenplay completed and would like to get it made into a movie and then get it distributed.

Go to Europe, Canada, and Boston.

Finish a masters degree program.

Volunteering for the Special Olympics is such a rewarding experience serasvictoria, you'll love it (i highly suggest that one). (P.S. I can't be held liable if you end up not loving it...disclaimer)

Something I would love to do: Master the guitar; visit Europe, Africa, Australia, Asia, South America... and all points in between. The rest gets a bit more personal and a lot of what I would love to do I have little to no control over.

I took a train (to NYC as a matter of fact) and I really liked it. It's something I'd like to do again.

4) Learn to play the drums
5) RV to all 49 continental states (RV'ing to Hawaii would be problematic )

Qualify for the Boston Marathon. For my age, I need a 3:50. In '06 I got a 3:53. I've run several since then and haven't broken 4:00.

You can do 1 & 3 at the same time if you cruise to Cozumel. We swam with the dolphins down there a couple of years ago and I HIGHLY recommend it.

I have always wanted to be in a movie, play the piano, and live in a small cottage on the coast of Ireland.

Another thing I've always wanted to do is take monthly randomized weekend trips in my 300 mile "travel range". Unfortunately, I've realized, such trips cost me $300 a pop which is prohibitive.

Recently, I've come up with a more modest proposal and plan to start doing it within Alabama only. I'll have a day hike, eat at a great restaurant, car camp, and go to a local church Sunday morning - and see how low I can keep my travel expenses.

Actually I need to do that pretty badly. I have several outdoor activities that I'm responsible for during the year and they're not frequent enough to keep me in shape. I'm turning into a home body and I really can't afford that.

Actually, there's plenty in Alabama to keep me busy.
