What kinds of resource materials do you use when you study the Bible? Could you please give the title of the book, and tell why you use it?

I keep it simple. I use Adventuring Through the Bible to get an overview or a synopsis of the section before diving into the book itself. It kind of gives me a heads up as to something else to look to. As I read, I read the page, then drop down to the study notes and read all of them. Then if there are any thematic sections or biographies, I will read those. I will also compare different versions to see if it gives me any more detail, character studies or principle outlines. I will also look up different scriptures as I read christian living books, and read the sections around the verses listed so I can see it the way that it's laid out in the bible and compare that with the way the book uses it is consistent.
