I think that Jamey is right, the perfect woman would be your best friend in life. One who can accept you for who you are and be accepted for who they are. I married my highschool sweetheart and we have had an extremely blessed marriage.

Its not about looks, mainly because beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Hello terryjohn

Don't even go there, man. There is no such creature as "the perfect woman." I've married twice now, (widowed) and neither one of the women I fell in love with were perfect. My first one had faults and my current one has, as well. The thing though is this. Each of them had different patterns of faults. So, at 70, I'm having to adjust all over again. It will either keep me young or take me to my premature death. I hope you can laught with me at that.

Well, if you're 70, I would say they are keeping you young!

As far as the "best friend" goes, I have a best friend but I wouldn't want to be married to him.

Groucho with a twist:

I wouldn't have any woman that would have me as a husband...so much for the 'perfect woman'.

I agree, except that it is partially about looks. Your wife may not be seen as the most beautiful woman in the world to others but I bet she ranks right up there in your eyes. After all, YOU are her BEHOLDER.

Reminds me of the story of the couple that had been married a long time. He was lying on the couch with his head on her lap. She said "Honey, without your glasses on, you look just like you did when we first got married." He looked up at her and said "Honey, without my glasses on...you look pretty good too."

There are two types of perfection, one that is eternal and substantial and the other that is carnal and physical.

There are many physically excellent women and a handful that each man considers physically the perfect woman.

However, looks fade (sometimes) and what really makes a woman perfect are those things mentioned before in Proverbs, but the rarest things are this

1. Integrity
2. Honor
3. Trust
4. Loyalty
5. Wisdom
6. Aggression
7. Courage
8. Passion

You cannot strive for something unachievable.

I don't want my girl flawless. I, myself, am a mess, and there's such great beauty found in that. I find that through our imperfection, we are seen faultless through the eyes of Christ.

If your relationship is built on that, the concept of perfection through Him becomes more apparent.

There was a woman I was spending time with and I was interested in but her on and off behavior towards me makes me realize she is laking in all these qualites.

Could only imperfect men need a perfect woman or would we prefer someone more like us?

Do men need to look after women as the strong look after the weak or do we need someone stronger (spiritually) than us to look after us?

My wife is certainly more spiritually aware in many situations that I am. I tend to take a "bull in a china cabinet" type of approach.

The perfect woman for me is asleep right now in our bed. She looks out for me, and I reciprocate. We care for one another, talk about everything and keep each other grounded. She's exactly what I need and we'll soon celebrate our 20th anniversary.

Is she perfect? Lord no. However, neither am I. Ouch, that hurt.

-she has a desire to be more like Christ;
-she challenges me in my study of Scripture;
-she loves to laugh, at me and herself;
-she has an adventurous spirit;
-she has some athletic ability;
-she can dance;
-she is a great kisser;
-she inspires me to be a better man to her and others..

Surely I'm not picky, am I?
