Could you explain a bit more about what your dh means? I didn't understand what he was getting at.

I enjoyed it. The ending was a bit heavy handed; I understand what your hubby meant. Since a lot of the Ood had been lobotomized, are they still able to feel, think and communicate as much as the natural Ood? One thing about this Doctor, you get one chance... no second chances.

I did think it was an above average episode. The part where the Ood guy was attacking one of the guards in the face and his tentacles were wiggling made my 18 you daughter giggle. She also had a friend over and I'm not sure this was the best episode for her to be introduced to Doctor Who. I do like that they're defining Donna by having a lot of compassion for others (not something we really saw in The Runaway Bride) and of course, that she's not interested in the Doctor romantically...she really views him as an alien.

ORIGINAL: agapetos Manda, what did you think of tonight's episode? I like Jenny, I wonder if we're gonna see more of her? I'm not sure what I thought. I liked her character, but can't quite bring myself to be comfortable with the whole idea of her being who she is. Something somehow doesn't sit right with me about it. I am sure that ending was designed to leave the door open for her to reappear sometime. Perhaps during one of the specials that we're getting next year instead of a proper series?

My mom visits me twice a year for a few days and it's the only time she watches any kind of sci-fi or fantasy programming. She used to need everything explained to her, but she's getting better at just watching and appreciating it for what it is...sci-fi. Anyways, she liked the Ood and got a little choked up about the whole episode. So, I thought that was really kinda sweet. If you are sensitive to things surrounding new age and such, I could see the implication. Of course, most all of sci-fi/fantasy is universalism - it kinda has to be by it's very nature.

You'll be getting an Agatha Christie Dr Who in a couple of weeks. I just read an article about it and was looking at the photos. Seems to me that there is a certain acress who had botox because her face is as smoother than it was when she was in 'The Good Life'. The same, however, cannot be said for her arms.

I did. It was interesting. Donna had me going when she once again threatened to leave... and then was just joking. I thought it was a little early in relationship for the Doctor to be telling Donna how she saved his life, but then the Doctor does often seem to get attached to his companions very quickly. Or at least, he got attached to Rose pretty quick; not sure about Martha. I mean, I understand why he said, but I didn't feel like there had been enough buildup. We didn't really see how bad he was when he was floundering between companions. I enjoyed the reappearance of Martha, and I really like her interactions with Donna. I also like Part 1 of the Sarah Jane Adventures : The Lost Boy, but here in America they cut a lot out for time. Usually, they're just chopping out scenes with Maria's family, but this one felt really choppy. And it felt like we hadn't even seen her family since the first couple of episodes.

I really liked tonights episode. Agatha (can't remember the actress' name) was very good. In Confidential afterwards, it said that her grandson, Mathew Prichard, had been on the set. It also said that one of the servants was Tennant's father! He didn't say anything, just wandered round with a tray of drinks.

I enjoyed this week's episode. Well, everything but the giant bee. The story was like a big game of Clue, and played out nicely. The lady who played Agatha was in a movie called Bright Young Things. I caught it on Sundance one day, it was based in the 1930's and was very enjoyable. She also played a character named Agatha in it. Has anyone else noticed how loud the music is in this series? It has made it a little difficult to hear what they are saying, the music overpowers their voices. I don't know if it's always been this way, if it has...then I haven't noticed until now.

I've not noticed it, and I generally do. I'll put subs on if it bothers me.
