Lord, we thank you for the fact that Bob is safe in Heaven with you. It really is a precious and wonderful thing to know that, no matter what happens in this world, all those who come to believe in you through Jesus Christ will eventually get to experience the joy and pleasure that Bob is surely enjoying right now. Thank you for this, God.
Lord, continue to watch over Nan and the rest of her family. When their hearts grieve over the loss of their loved one, remind them that they will one day be reunited with Bob in your eternal kingdom. Continue to bless them and comfort their hearts, and help them to continue to grow in faith and love for you.
I pray for all of this in the name of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Lord, I pray that you continue to work on Nan each day, always let her feel your
presence there with her. That she is never alone, let her pain ease each day, I
pray that you comfort her and wrap your arms around her, I pray that she may
be able to rest at night knowing that you will watch over her every day....

good morning friends
Well I made it through the weekend.
The worst time.
By far.
I have 3 interviews this week. Unfortunatley reality is I need to get a job pretty quickly and wish I could wait a while, but I don't want to deplete the insurance Bob had for me. He is still taking care of me and I thank God for his care.
Sadness is overwhelming at times and I feel like I can't function.
But I have to.
Please pray for my faith and joy to be set on fire until it bursts forth once again.
There is a part of me just acting normal and there is a part of me that actually feels frozen.
I know the frozen part needs to thaw and cry a river, but I have always tried to be strong and I am afraid this is not good.
I know I won't feel the Holy Spirit's Presence until that frozen part thaws out.
HELP!
Please pray for my lonlness for Bob, my frozen heart, my job interviews, provision, fulfillment....
I am a very nurturing person, and need to find the perfect job that blends fulfillment in helping someone to decent paycheck.
HELP God.

p.s. And please pray for my sleep and peace and confidence about my bob.
I want to know that he is happy, and seeing him die at home with such horrible ragged breathing, ice cold skin, etc is the memory that I can't get out of my head. He was in a hospice bed in our living room for a total of only 3 hours. I also can't forget that he didn't want to sleep there, but went there because it lifted his head up to help his breathing.
I keep second guessing everything we did or said those last couple of days. :(
It is impossible not to.

Dear Nan, Second guessing is a very normal part of grief. Know you are going through the process right now. Also the 'frozen part' -- you mention is a way your mind/body is protecting you till you are ready to feel it. Don't rush it, as it is a protection your psyche is doing for you.
I pray that Nan find a job that is the right one for her emotionally and physically. I ask that she sees that Holy Spirit you are carrying her now. She may not feel you, as she mentions, but it is not because she is frozen. I pray against any feelings of condemnation she feels for this, IN Jesus Name, amen

I feel so lost.
Try to imagine yourself with a leg and an arm suddenly gone and just trying to figure out your life and how you will survive.
That would be a physical problem and pain.
Emotional pain is so much worse and there is no remedy...
God is my refuge but the pain and heartache is literally sickening.

Dear PW. How we wish we could all just put our arms around you and take away your pain. Of course that's not within our power. But we can stand beside you, love you, be willing to listen, pray for you.
Bob knew how much you loved him. How could he not, when we can see it, having never even seen either of you face to face. He knew that you did everything you could for him. You were with him every step of the way. You shaired as much with us. How could he not be happy and at peace? He is with our Lord and Saviour. He has healing beyond our understanding.
Rest in the assurance that he loved you and our Lord loves you beyond our understanding. God's word says there is a time for everything, and right now you are grieving. And we grieve with you. I don't claim to know all that you are going through right now, but I do know that the Lord loves you so very much. That He won't leave you comfortless. That He will carry you through this.
Dear Father, help PW to rest in You during this most painful time. In Your time and Your way bring her through to a brighter day on the other side. Let her once again feel joy. Give her something to laugh about today. Ease her pain Lord, and strengthen her faith. Thank You Father. In Jesus name. Amen

Bless your heart angel. I wish that there was something that I could say to make it better for you. But God is with you love. Thank you all, sweet friends, whose prayers give me incredible strength.
Yesterday, I saw something unheard of and it was wonderful...
Eagles and their grace and mention in the Bible meant a lot to me and Bob......
I looked out my picture window, and there over Morton, in town, was the strangest sight. It was an eagle in the direct center of my living room window. Looping and looping and souring and looping some more. I just sat there with a shocked look on my face. It was the first time in 17 years in our home I have ever seen an eagle over town, in my sight.
I got up carefully, like it would disappear and went out the front door and just stood there and watched for AGES. It came up over me (high up), looping and souring, sailed over our house and SLOWLY drifted and looped off to a very distant cloud, until it disappeared like a tiny dot into the cloud. It's wings were so big, and almost looked translucent. I could see its white head. It was wonderful.
ok It just lifted my heart. Like there is a tomorrow...I can't wait to see Bob again.
Last night I went to a Bible study at church and am actually joining the Disciple class next monday night instead. Next weeks focus is on the wonder of God. Then trying an Alpha class on thursday, including a meal. One lady has adopted me and is steering me with ideas. Our Pastor wants me to try anything and everything with no 'obligation'. :)
I got home and my good friend Kathy went for a walk, gave me ice cream sandwich and 2 hard boiled eggs to bring home to add to my rather boring tuna salad. (tuna with miracle whip)
My dr. yesterday afternoon was totally thrilled to hear about the eagle. Lives here and was shocked actually. She was excited and has heard many things in her practise. (I had to go get back to healing my knee from the car accident on Jan. 4)!!! It has taken a back seat and I need to work diligently on it now.
Please pray for my next three days of interviews. Phew.
I want God's guidance on any and all. And hopefully I get few a couple of job offers. :)

Dear Sweet Nan, what a wonderful 'gift' God gave you in the eagle! Remember it often.
I certainly am keeping you in prayer. I sometimes feel guilty because this could have been me. May someday be me.
When those thougths about Bob's last hours come, remember how he didn't want to go to the ER when he was ill. He wanted to be at home.
Again, I am almost always at a loss of words for your loss because of all the 'what if this were me' thoughts. I cannot begin to imagine how you feel and am overcome when I try. I just keep praying for your comfort and for a wonderful future remembering this man you loved fully and will meet again some day soon.

Father, You are so good. Thank You for letting Prayer Warrior see the eagle. Thank You for the meaning it has for her. For the hope it gives her. God, You are just so good. OK.
I was the second person to be offered a job if the first person did not take it so once again I missed the job.
So.....
I went down to 'our' river, the Illinois River at Peoria Lake, and cryed a river. I looked for pelicans, which bob and i always do for the next month.
I cried forever. Tears literally just fell on the grass like a waterfall. BOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think missing bob is just setting in,,,,, incredibly, impossibly hard.
Horrilbly hard.
Almost intolerable.
I would give anything to see his smile, his wink, or give him a hug.

I am sure I will have terrible downs and some ups for months if not forever, according to many people. It is almost amazing how many people I know who have lost a spouse, but only a couple soul-mates I believe.
Each place I go is a new place that was our 'old' place.
But without bob it is new and cold and strikes my heart with pain.
We spent so many years doing anything free, and loving being anywhere together, so the memories are literally everywhere. I won't even realize it and suddenly I am crushed to look up and see another of 'our' places.....
We were always on a budget. ha And didn't mind a bit. Who cares? Money and things are nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will always feel that way.
LOve you all, and I pray I am not being a horrible pain to you guys.
But I have seriously never felt pain like this before.
It is excruciating.....
I NEED A JOB, so that I don't have as much time to think. Father, bring me the job You have planned with fulfillment and people to nurture.
