This happened when my dd was about 9 months old (14 yrs ago) I parked my car in the street, outside the Christian Bookshop where I wanted to go - and for some unknown reason, handed my car keys for my dd to play with, shut the car door with the handle up (which locked it) - in other words my car was locked, with my dd inside it with the keys. [8|] I first called the police, who said they didn't do that sort of thing (break in) anymore, because of the risk of being sued for causing damage [8|], phoned the AA - a breakdown service - who said they'd be there in 90 mins [&:], and in the end phoned a locksmith who arrived in 10 mins, broke in for me surprisingly easily and causing no damage - and presented me with a bill for £30 - which is $60[&o] Btw, my dd was totally unfazed by any of this and was quite happily playing with the keys and chattering to herself the whole time, lol.
