I'm super-duper offended that apparently ol' Fay hit a cold front in Alabama, was offended by it and is heading back to my area!!!

We're still in our house. We have been mega-blessed and it's just drenched outside. Nothing bad has happened at the homestead... yet. We're praying fervently that the pine trees in the yard remain firmly rooted if we end up with another visit from Fay.

--Kat

I'm glad you are safe, Kat. Stay that way.

I am offended that some people spell that home-wrecking meddler Fay and some spell her name Faye. Now, which is it?

I believe the National Weather Service named her Fay. I was hoping the e would be there because of my sister's name. But it looks like it was left off.

Well, it certainly shouldn't have been spelled Fey!

Defintons:
1.Magical or fairylike.
2. Strange or otherworldly.
3. Spellbound.
4. (archaic) Doomed to die.

Fay offended me when she made me cut my bicycle ride short this morning. Also, I'm more easily offended when I don't get enough sunlight.

It seems like a lot of us are in Alabama. I have spent some time in LA, but now I'm UA (upper Alabama, not the other UA. War Eagle!!!).

I'm glad all of you are safe, but I'll keep praying for you.

BTW, I've been to Destin, and it's a nice area. Years ago we used to go down to that area around Ft. Walton a lot. Haven't been down in Florida too much since I moved out of Texas. Let me put it this way. Last time I was at that beach, my 15 year old wasn't potty trained. Now that's offensive to me.

I should not do it but I can't help myself. If I had a 15 year old that was not potty trained I would be offended also.

I am offended that I live so far away from so many of you. However, I am not offended that as a result, I will not meet Fay.

Went to the recycling center three times with truck loads of yard waste. Folks helped each other empty their trucks. But I didn't see any of y'all there! common, abalama is not that far away that you can't help out your goja neighbors. How offensive is that?

But it was raining. I tend to melt when I get wet.

And MY yard is knee-deep in leaves & limbs from Fay. I haven't had any offers from neighboring states to come help me haul and rake.

I'm not in a neighboring state, but I'm offended that you didn't think of me.......
If my way is paid, I'd be glad to make a trip down that way to help out!!!

I'm offended that it took several minutes to load this offensive because these forums are so slow lately. And then, once the offensive page loaded, I was offended to see that no one offered to do any yard work for ME! Just because I wasn't hit by someone named Fay over here, doesn't mean I don't have stuff for you all to do... I mean, really!

I'm offended that the very few times I write a brilliant post, something happens and the site goes down without posting and, of course, without my having copied any of it.

That and the times a Mod locks a thread between my starting to type my post and clicking OK.

I'm offended that it's not just me. Here I thought I'd finally offended someone enough that they were hacking my network just to slow down my connection and make me mad...
