ROFLOL! umm... no. Before I ever gave birth, I didn't want to know about it either. I thought it sounded scary.
Now I been involved in the birth of three (four if you count the grand daughter) births and have never heard of anything so barbaric as that. Is it a new procedure?

Ben, it's just weakening the amniotic sac.

Still sounds like something out of the middle ages...

It is just accelerating something the body does naturally.

It is one way to almost guarantee delivery in short order.

LOL! My son turns 13 tomorrow. He wants his birthday to have a medieval theme to it this year. I will not be sharing the medieval techniques that did not help his birthday to come sooner.

ROFLOL. I'm sure you posted it but that means you and DOnna's kids will most likely share a birthday

Yeah, that will be cool. Poor little guy. Hee is going to have his birthday all alone while everyone else gets a big shabang in February at Donna's house hold. I think that Donna should have baby August come here to share birthdays with David and Timothy. Wouldn't want him to feel left out and lonely.

Sarah, remind me again...cervadil good, cytotec bad, right?

yup.....
cervadil is what I had with Justice....it did a great job...in the morning when they started the pit to really start my labor it only took four hours til delivery (with my others it's been 8-10 avg)

Donna
Just wanted you to know we are still praying for you all.
My youngest DD said that it would be fine to go into labor today but to really wait until tomorrow to have it. She says the 28th is really the best day ever to have a birthday. I guess since its hers she would feel that way.

Change of plans...just because I hate to be boring. The doctor that is on will not just do pitocin without cervadil first. So...I'm going in tonight at 6 to start cervadil and then pitocin in the morning if we need that. Boys, I'm whiting this out, even though it's not gross, per se...when the CNM checked me and stripped the membranes, I was 3 cm. I don't think it will take much to get me going.

Thank you for that lack of info... You're practically all the way ready!

Is now a good time to say "C'mon Baby!"?

wooohooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! baby is coming!!!!!!!!! (are you as excited as I am? I will for sure have that phone glued to my hand ready for the call)

oh did I tell you? I don't think I did.....lack of sleep and all my days tend to kind of mesh together. So this morning Paul's sgt called really early for him (as in, too early for anyone to be calling). I woke to the phone ringing with a startle thinking "is it Donna?"....lol. I was sorely disappointed when it wasn't...lol.

Well, so much for my Aisle 3 theory, but I did say you would go into labor this evening.

You might not even need the cirvadil or pitocin. I had a doc strip the membranes with my second son. I was in full labor within half an hour.

Maybe Donna'll stay on with her updates long enough to have it right at her compu... hubby would be there, and she wouldn't have to worry about the pesky phone calls...

KuKu...not funny. Not funny at all.

I have never had a labor under 20 hours. I'm not worried about the crampiness. I did go into labor the day after my membranes were stripped with Levi though.

I'm driving my own self to the hospital. And stopping to eat something on the way.

Ummm...me again. My first labor took 18 hours. My second labor took 30 minutes start to finish.
