There are a couple of other brands that make chips like that except they're not baked. If I'm asked to take chips to a party, I'll take those. There's one brand that has "Red, Hot, and Blue" as a flavor that I really like. Whatever I'm craving, whether it's nighttime or anytime, there's usually a healthy alternative I can come up with if I'm creative.

I do drink Aloe juice, but have to admit that I have not been so faithful to it lately. But when I do drink it, I have less cravings. My kids pediatrician actually told me how good it was for me. He is a healt freak so when I have quesions, I try to ask him when I am in with my kids. Which reminds me, two of them need their checkups yet. oops.

Very often something can be deemed good for us and we spend a fortune on buying it when there are much cheaper alternatives around. Aloe juice is pretty expensive here and I'd be looking to seeing why it was so good for you and whether I could get the health benefits from something else that is cheaper.

Aloe juice can be as cheap or expensive as you want it to be. Sam's club sells it by the gallon for like 5 bucks. I have read up on it and it does have health benefits, but you do have to watch what you buy because there are parts of the plant that are not supposed be used and it has to be processed a certian way. But it is good for lots of things like carrying more oxygen to your organs, sleep patterns, chronic pain. I did look around and ask. I was actually introduced to it once and so I mentioned it to him and he did talk to me aobut it. Which is nice because he didn't really have to since we were there for an ear infection or something like that with one of my kids.

Or that it's like concentrated juice over fresh juice ~ they may have the same vitamins and minerals in it, but the concentrated will have been added when it's reconstructed as they'll have been killed in the processing.

Actually, I do exercise and you are correct about the price of Aloe juice. But if you read your packaging, you can get it without breaking your wallet. You just need to know what to look for. But as with most products, price goes up with quality.

Just last week I ate about 3 to 4 ice cream cones every night as a late night craving and gained like 20lbs it seems. (It was my Olympics snacks.) I felt out of control. I think once I get the craving I will mentally dwell on it until my body has to have it. I can be watching TV and want popcorn or some ice cream and then if I wait for a while it gets worse and worse and I cannot concentrate on TV anymore. All I want is that craving. It's kind of scary and I wish I could stop. Lately, I've even driven out to the gas station at night just to get my munchies when they've been unavailable at home. I have heard that getting more sleep helps your cravings. When you stay up too late your body produces some kind of chemical that makes you hungry. I also remember studying in school that if you eat a bigger breakfast, you are less hungry throughout the day. That may help.

What I do is allow myself a treat of some sort every day (lately it has been homemade brownies that are not too unhealthy)... and I nearly always save it for the evenings. Also, whenever I have a craving, I think about what I can have that is okay, but will still satisfy me and have that. SO if I crave ice cream, I might decide that I really just want something sweet and that a banana will be fine. Or if I am craving chips... I might be satisfied with some popcorn with olive oil and garlic salt. There is nothing inherently wrong with eating in the evenings, you just have to be careful about what you eat! Tara P
