Mike, as I was reading your update, I couldn't help but think "why are they trying to fix what ain't broke?" They say there's something wrong you never knew about and doesn't bother you?

For example, I have a couple broken teeth (because of way too many fillings) toward the rear of my mouth. Yes, I could have them fixed, but they don't hurt and they don't bother me. **shrug**

I love your avatar with Miss Gizmo on the beach chair. Maybe you could use it here.

I would put it up here but I could not get it to go. Tried several time when I put the other one up. Might try again when I have the time. In the mean time MissGizmo is enjoying the beach this summer. She needed a vacation when the Wings did not take the Stanley Cup in the last play-off game of the season.

A lot of folks seem to be having trouble with adding avatars.

Make sure Miss Gizmo has sunscreen on her nose and ears.

I will make sure she uses her sunscreen. She needs the water-prof kind because she like to go swimming.

Glad you were able to get a good report from your tests.

Also how is your uncle doing? Have not heard you say as of late.

Counsellor, I'm so glad that your head is empty!

Although, you could have asked me . . . I knew it all along.

I'm praising Our Lord for such the good report that you got today, {{{Kerr}}}

Kerr, I too am thankful that the doctors found nothing wrong. God is so good!

Pam, I totally agree with your "If it ain't broke..." motto. I know people who have been put on medication because, "at your age, this could begin to be a problem." Most of the time, if there's a problem, you'll know it.

Of course, what can be more frustrating is when you know there's a problem and they can't find it.

I've decided, in the case of a brain scan, that what I don't know won't hurt me.

ha!

Kerr, I am so glad you got good news!

I've had several MRIs on my brain. I have white spots. Fam dr thought it could be MS and sent me to a neurologist, but after examining me he thought it was just scars on my brain from migraines. I do get them that bad but thankfully not for a long time. I do get a yearly check up to see how things are going.

Wow! I didn't know migraines could cause scars in your brain. I'm glad it wasn't MS. MS is scary.

I have to admit I was pretty scared when the family dr suggested it.

I never heard of scars on the brain from migraine, but I've often thought that the extreme level of pain from those things must cause some damage.

In addition to the great news, we are celebrating the anniversary of our first dates.

Mrs. K first took my hand under the table at McGuffeys Restaurant (that's my story and I'm sticking to it) on July 1, 1987, after a Toastmasters meeting. I then asked her out for both Friday and Saturday (July 2 and 3), and we also were together on the Fourth.

We went to Ruby Tuesdays this Wednesday, took my mother and aunt to Five Guys on Thursday, and went back to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast today. Tomorrow will probably be a cookout and pizza is scheduled for Sunday. We can really stretch out a " good MRI" party.

I plan to get back to my regular strict diet regimen come Monday.

It was reeeeeaaaallllly tempting to go out for donuts this morning, but we had heavy rain about that time. I feel better for having resisted temptation.

I did try a new (well, it's been there a long time, but it's new to me) fish market yesterday so I seared scallops, steamed crab legs, and grilled fish for dinner last night. It was very good!!!

I've been wanting a blueberry cake donut lately. I think instead of Bojangles on Friday i'll go to Duncan Donuts.
