TOO long! Probably since before Christmas since the floor had a decent vacuuming! It's hard to clean around all the Christmas decorations!

One last errand to do today. Got to get a few last minute things for Joan's birthday on Saturday.

Found your thread! Yay!

Lisa ... it stinks that your cat has fleas! My cats struggled with this for over a year and the sad thing is that once one has them the whole house is infested. We got Frontline from Amazon ... look closely because there was one a few months ago that had six doses for $43! Once all the cats are treated consistently for a few months they should all go away, as long as they don't go outside or there's not a dog bringing them back in.

Hey Di! Glad you made your way here!

Yeah, poor Romeo. I've given him one treatment, and that has seemed to help some, but we will have to treat again in 2 weeks. He probably got them from the backyard, since we found out he was sneaking out the window at night. The dogs are always treated with k9 advantix but I never thought Romeo needed it.

The worst thing is how funny he looks! He's licked off almost his whole hind flank on the right side. I told him if he kept it up, he was going to look like Mr. Bigglesworth!

Maybe giving him a bath would help.

You can't bathe a cat who's had a treatment anyway.

From what you're describing, it sounds like he is allergic to fleas. FosterKitty has that issue, and so did Laura's Dearly Departed Kitty, who would lick all the fur off herself if she had ONE flea bite.

If one animal is treated and not the other, then all the fleas will jump on the untreated one.

I was just joking, Lisa knows that cats and bath water do not mix!

I feel sorry for animals with fleas. I feel even more sorry for them if they are allergic to them. Can't be pleasant.

Maybe I'll have a nap.

I am feeling just like a nap too. Nice weather today, just tired from stuff. Maybe I will go to the bookstore later. I have a coupon for 33% off one single item.

There is no such thing as a bad time to nap. Naps are a favorite thing. I just might have one myself.

Yes. When I moved I had one box left and the cats had to be in a box in the truck. They were not happy but they survived the few blocks with out a major hissy fit.

My babies are pretty easy going for cats. e Especially my boy--he is super laid back. The girl is like her mama--a divabrat.

I usually have four cats and two cat carriers. They used to double up on the trips to the vet.

Since the Maine Coon cats passed on, the two new youngest ones are too wild to travel together.

My Romeo will fight tooth and nail to avoid the carrier. If I have to take him to the vet I will have to get a baby sling or something....

Bored and annoyed today. The guys are fixing Nick's car and have misplaced the keys and expect ME to find them! Sorry to generalize, but do men ever grow up and take responsibility for their own stuff? I mean, I've got a 19 year-old, a 41 year-old, and a 63 year-old and they all act like helpless babies sometimes! Argghh! Okay, rant over. Sorry guys.

Today is still cloudy and getting cooler. I hope it clears up and warms up soon...I am sooo over winter! I know it could be a lot worse, but there is a reason I moved down south, after all!

Cooking tacos today. At least that will give me something to do.

Blah!

One of our cats loves water.

Lisa, I've heard that Borax (powdered) soap does wonders for fleas. My dad used to sprinkle it on the carpet. It's also safe for pets.
