Yup, it's a vicious circle isn't it? No wonder we get so dizzy!

Bingo! Elizabeth, you got it right on . That's a pretty active judge; he gets around real well.

LOL, Edith, he sure does. Has a pretty full calendar, with an emphasis on night court, and he works weekends, too. I think he likes to impersonate the Holy Spirit, and I guess there are times when we get taken in. I do, at least; I suppose I shouldn't speak for others.

Hi everyone!
I'm just posting a note to say that I've caught up on reading this thread and am praying for y'all! I'm doing okay, despite the stress and all. Because of the increased meds, I'm able to handle it better than I used to. I also found out that I can wait to take my morning Risperdal until later when I have to drive during the day.

I need to log off now and go to bed, so goodnight, everyone!

The headache didn't go away. The other problems didn't go away. I didn't go to the Bible study.

What do you take for your headaches, Roberta? There's only one OTC med that works for mine.

Right now all I have is extra strength Tylenol and asprin. Part of it's sinus and part of it's tension.

Can you get Paramol over there? It's the only thing that works for me. That teensy bit of dihydrocodeine that it contains seems to make all the difference. Also, with my sinuses at this time of year I find the odd antihistamine tablet (Zirtek or Clarityn) helps.

Roberta, are you still taking lithium? If so, you need to take care with asprin as it's a NSAI and can interfere with the level of lithium in your blood (lithium levels will increase).

Can I say EEEEEK.... I set my alarm (only one as I thought it would be sufficient) for this morning and didn't wake up when it went off but an hour later. I was a little rushed but had time for breakfast (something I don't always do) before I left.

Didn't have a very deep session with my psychologist today but there were a lot of things that we had to cover. We talked about how things had been over the past few weeks and I remembered (eventually) that I was very positive after I left. She asked because of the session (bad move) because I told her it was because I was free from therapy for 3 weeks as she was on leave. She laughed.

Headed into Bath afterwards and did some shopping. Then came home and collapsed for a while.

I still take lithium. My pdoc never said anything about the aspirin I take. She did tell me not to take ibuprofen (sp?) with it. I have to be extremely cautious with antihistamines. So far the only one that I have found I can take is Benedryl. Even that I've been known to have problems with, just not nearly as bad. I've never heard of Paramol.

ETA: I think I have found the source of part of the headache problem: Inscense, I've been letting dd burn them.

You may want to check with her then Roberta... also ~ if you have asthma (not sure if you do), asprin may trigger asthma attacks (I learnt that yesterday when I saw the nurse!).

Oh yuk, joss sticks are disgusting and have an awful effect on my sinuses. Why does she want to burn them? Roberta, she doesn't smoke (tobacco or anything else) does she?

She just likes the smell of them. She only burns them in the living room.

I've got just over an hour to go from withdrawal to feeling human. I'm glad the headache is gone.

Well, I finished my cat house this morning, built out of an old dresser. It isn't painted yet, but at least he can use it, if he will. I put carpet in it, and put in an old but large towel for him to sleep on. I put plastic in the walls for more insulation. I am going to try to encourage him to eat his food on the top of the house, where I put carpet, too. And I may put some carpet on the side what is away from the rain (I put his house in my carport) for him to use and also to insulate it a little more.

It is presently an unpainted, ugly little house, but it will look better later, when I finish it and paint it. For now, it is getting cold, and I just wanted a place for him to get away from the weather.

He continues to recognize that he owns me, and he is starting to get more used to my husband as well. Neither of us have touched him yet, but he did take food from my hand the other day. Since he is ferral, I can't treat him for fleas, so I put a little garlic in his food. I was told that this will likely get rid of any fleas he has.

I would have never thought of using a dresser for a house for a cat.

edited because I originatally said "cat house" and that didn't sound as nice as house for a cat.

Yeah, my husband had called me earlier, and I told him I finished the "cat house." He said, "What will people think when they find out we have a cat house in the back?"

I think they'll be pretty impressed when they hear that not only do you have a cat house, but that you built it yourself!

The chap that came to fit the switch for me and his wife have just got 5 kittens! Four are related and then he heard about a ginger tom kitty and bought that for his wife because one of the (two) cats that died earlier this year was a ginger tom and his wife adored it. The ginger tom was from a litter of 3 kitties and he was going to get them all if 2 hadn't already gone! He said they all get on really well now and keep him and his wife entertained!

I'm incredibly tired. I've been trying to stay awake a bit later so that I don't wake up at a silly early hour tomorrow morning. I made a very simple beef curry the other week (put everything in pot and cook!) and am going to make it again tomorrow...

From my blog:

I just got back from the tailgate party for the high school football game. Our church hosts the tailgate parties. I served over 200 drinks and chips for our school and the visiting team. It's a lot of fun and you get to meet a lot of people. We stop about 30 minutes before the game begins, that way it doesn't cut into the money the concession stands would be making. Tonight is our homecoming night. We are 5-1. We typically loose our homecoming game for some reason.

I would have loved to stay for the game, but it occurred to me that I have not bought myself a pair of tennis shoes. The only shoes I have are sandals and flip flops, not good for Indiana evenings in October. I think I need to make it a priority to fix that soon.

DD is working the concession stands tonight. Unless she can get a ride home, I'll have to go back and get her. I'm hoping that one of her friends will give her a ride home.

The rest is HERE for those who want to read it.

This time my withdrawals seemed to be easier to deal with while I was around other people. That doesn't usually happen. Usually I get much worse when I'm in a crowd or too busy or both. So, I'm glad I went.

5 Kittens? Oh my goodness!

Does staying up like that work for you? I find that I have an internal alarm that goes off most mornings........... regardless of what time I go to bed.

I've been cooking ahead too so that we have something to eat when I'm not having a good day. In fact, tomorrow I plan on freezing chicken & rice soup.

agapetos, I *think* that cat house means something else over there as well as a house for kitty cats. An "ill reputed" house, if you get my drift.

Well, regarding my cat house, it was fairly perfect for Moochie. It was one of those dressers that had two drawers on the sides, like a U, with a mirror above the table-top at the bottom of the U. The house-part is between the "legs" of the U.

I removed the drawers and the parts that held the drawers in place, using these parts to make a roof and floor. There is a hole cut in what was the top, so Moochie can enter.

(The round hole used for the door was already in the top, because we were using it to hold a large bowl full of flowers. We had the dresser outside to hold our garden tools inside the drawers.)

I enticed Moochie into the house by leading him there with bits of turkey. I put some pieces inside the house, and he went inside to eat them. He also went onto the roof to eat more food, because I put his water and food bowls there. He seems to have taken to it so far, but I am waiting to see if he will sleep in it.

At least this time I didn't get Moochie mixed up with Munchie.

That's awesome, Roberta!

Sounds like you've done a great job with that kitty's house, Abiyah!

I'm getting sick--lungs, sinuses, eyes.
